Nederlandse ambulancezorg goed vertegenwoordigd bij EMS2019 in Madrid
De vierde editie van het Europese Emergency Medical Services-symposium (EMS 2019 congres) vond dit jaar van 26 tot en met 28 april plaats in Madrid. EMS2019 stond in het teken van ”It Takes a System to Save a Life – Patient First”. Circa 1.000 internationale deelnemers namen drie dagen lang deel, om hun kennis te verrijken tijdens de vele plenaire lezingen, workshops, presentaties en de European EMS Championship.
Nederland was goed vertegenwoordigd op het EMS2019 congres door:
- EMS leadership met diverse voorzitterschappen en lezingen: “How we work with clinical quality indicators in Dutch EMS” en “Ambulance care 2025: Care coordination and mobile care”;
- Posterpresentatie “Exceeding the 15 minutes response target is not associated with increased vital instability”;
- TED-talk “Time will be changing: urgency in the ambulance care”;
- Sprekerssessie: “Beyond the second split: Decision making under pressure”;
- Twee ambulanceteams als deelnemers aan de European Championship, namelijk Ambulance Amsterdam en GGD Brabant Zuid Oost;
- Jurylid bij EMS-championship;
- Voorzitterschap bij lezingen “Systems of clinical quality";
- En ongeveer zestig Nederlandse congresdeelnemers.
In 2020 zal het EMS congres plaatsvinden in Schotland.
